About the Department:

The Fiji Mineral Resources Department encourages, assists and regulates the search for and development of mineral and petroleum resources, working through a system of permits, leases and licences issued under Acts of Parliament. The Department also provides services and advice to the Government and industry on a variety of geological, economic and safety matters.
